There are many easy and fun ways to support children with cancer. Our signature fundraising activity is called Hats On to Kids with Cancer. The program itself is simple, but the message behind it is much more meaningful. As children with cancer go through the difficult treatment process, chemotherapy often causes them to lose most or all of their hair. Sometimes they can wear a wig, but most of the time hats are used to keep their heads from being cold and cover the evidence of treatment. You can organize a day at your school, company or throughout your local community during which students, employees or members of the community wear a cap. For a small donation, participants can wear their favorite cap and receive a gold ribbon sticker, a symbol of childhood cancer awareness.
